Gut boosting smoothie bowl

Blueberries are high in the antioxidant compounds anthocyanidins. These are the compounds that give Blueberries their fabulous deep purple colour. A diet rich in these compounds can help fight off respiratory infections and the winter cold. In addition, blueberries have plenty of vitamins, including vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, dietary fiber, and manganese.

Dark vegetables such as spinach and kale are known to have high levels of vitamin C along with antioxidants and beta carotene, all of which help fight infection. They are also good for your heart, brain, and gut.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen Blueberries

  • ¾ cup Oat milk

  • ¼ - ½ avocado (depending on size)

  • ½ frozen banana

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp milled flax seeds

  • 1 serving of vanilla protein powder

  • 2 handfuls of spinach or kale

Steps

1.    Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and combine until smooth

2.    Pour into your favourite bowl and decorate with your toppings
